The Pantry is a specialty food and grocery store designed to help fund South Alive and their community projects. The more times you shop at The Pantry, the more you help revitalise South Invercargill.

Our PRODUCT RANGE

Whether you’re vegan, paleo, a beer aficionado, or a sweet tooth with a fondness for composting, you’ll find the products you love at The Pantry. We stock bulk cleaning and baking ingredients, specialty items including organic and eco-friendly goods as well as home brewing equipment.

Discover new flavours, new favourites, and new ideas with our series of in-store events. Local cooks, producers and experts share their knowledge in a range of hands-on classes.

Meet Cathy.

I love shopping at the pantry, it has it all.

I’m trying to buy more consciously so I like that it’s so easy to refill your own containers and support a social enterprise that creates a community hub for so many.

Shopping at the pantry has helped me to be a bit more creative with our cooking as we have been trying more lentils and whole food based meals.

The kids love going down to the pantry. They usually do some colouring in while I shop and they love the space outside. So much room for them to run around and they love the community garden. The staff are so family friendly and always make us feel very welcome.

Just by shopping at The Pantry, we’re able to support local producers, host community workshops and be a hub for community groups like the mobility scooter club and our local knitters.
